Vision Empower’s ARC in association with BOSCH Global at IIIT-B made a significant impact in March, driving meaningful change and empowering students and educators alike. Here’s a look at the highlights:
1. Students in Science – Panel Discussion

An online panel discussion featured five students with visual impairments pursuing STEM fields. The discussion focused on their experiences, challenges, and triumphs, offering insights into the journey of visually impaired students in science education.
2. School Leaders Conclave 2025
March 11, 2025

The School Leaders Conclave gathered 16 participants from 14 schools across Karnataka to discuss the future of STEM education for visually impaired students. School leaders shared their goals, challenges, and strategies to create more inclusive learning environments.
3. Teacher Training on STEM by Vividha Trust
March 3, 2025

A Training of Trainers workshop at ARC, IIIT Bangalore, focused on creating tactile teaching aids and designing hands-on STEM activities for visually impaired students. Educators learned to make STEM learning more accessible and engaging for all students.
4. ARC On Wheels at Mahbubnagar
March 2025

The first ARC On Wheels event took place at the Government School for the Blind in Mahbubnagar, Telangana. With a fully-loaded vehicle and excitement, the session featured interactive experiments covering topics like light, magnetic fields, and energy conversion. Students explored hands-on experiments such as light traveling in a straight path and magnetic fields, gaining practical insights into science. Feedback from students, like Class 9 student Nandini, highlighted the value of these experiments in their learning.
5. Sensitization Session for VE Team by Spandan
March 17, 2025

An immersive Sensitization Session led by Neha Trivedi of Spandan focused on “Working with Persons with Blindness: Decoding Self for Enhancing Professional Impact.” The online session aimed to help VE team members better understand their own perspectives and enhance their professional impact when working in inclusion and accessibility. A total of 85 participants, including school/state coordinators and VE team members, attended the workshop.
