Celebrating a Year at ARC

A year ago, the Accessible Resource Centre (ARC) at IIIT Bangalore began with a simple thought.

What if science and maths could be experienced differently? What if students with visual impairment could explore STEM through conversation, curiosity, and experimentation?

Implemented by Vision Empower and CAGS at IIIT Bangalore, ARC was set up on March 6, 2025. Over the past year, it has grown into something much bigger. It has become a shared space that brings together students, educators, researchers, volunteers, and partners who believe learning should be accessible to everyone.

Inspired by the impact of the centre, the idea expanded into ARC on Wheels, taking a slice of this experiential space to schools in remote areas so more students can experience accessible STEM learning.

Today, ARC is filled not just with tactile learning STEM tools and playful learning experiences, but also with questions, innovation, moments of wonder, and most importantly, laughter.

As ARC turns one, we celebrate everyone who has been part of this journey. Students, teachers, volunteers, and our CSR partner Bosch who believed in this idea and helped it grow.
