Inauguration of the Accessible Resource Centre (ARC): Empowering Inclusive Education

Bosch Global Software Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (BGSW), in partnership with Vision Empower (VE) and the Centre for Accessibility in the Global South (CAGS) at IIIT Bangalore, inaugurated the Accessible Resource Centre (ARC). This initiative aims to empower visually impaired students (Grades K-10) and their teachers by providing accessible learning resources, particularly in STEM education. ARC also serves as an inclusive space for discussions on curriculum development, policy, and innovative assistive technologies.

The event showcased innovative educational interventions for visually impaired students, emphasizing the role of assistive technologies in enhancing learning experiences. Attendees included dignitaries from academia, corporate social responsibility (CSR) leaders, subject matter experts, and pioneers in the field of inclusion. Representatives from IIIT Bangalore, Bosch Global Software, Spandan, iStem, Azim Premji University, and the Karnataka Welfare Association for the Blind were present. The program featured an inaugural ceremony, a panel discussion, and live demonstrations of accessible learning tools. Students actively engaged in experiments, digital learning, and STEM activities, highlighting the impact of inclusive education initiatives.
