From 24th to 26th July, 2025, Vision Empower had the privilege of participating in the Computational Thinking in Schools (CTiS) 2025 conference, held at IISER Pune and organized by ACM India and the CS Pathshala community, and hosted by GK Gurukul School, Pune, and SCTR’s PICT ACM Student Chapter (PASC). This annual event brings together educators, researchers, and policy advocates to discuss the integration of computational thinking (CT) into school education.
This year’s conference saw remarkable engagement, with over 350 attendees in person and more than 1,500 participants online from across 20+ Indian states and internationally from the USA, Canada, Italy, and the UAE.
A proud and significant moment for Vision Empower was our participation in Session 9 on Day 2, focused on “CT and Inclusive Education.” The session spotlighted contributions from educators of special schools for the blind and VE team members, demonstrating how CT can be made accessible for all learners.

Of the 18 papers presented, 10 were authored by teachers from special schools across Odisha, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, and Maharashtra, and 8 by the Vision Empower team. The session began with a joint presentation by Jyoti Bisht and Rishi Vadhana, titled “Computational Thinking in Special Schools for the Blind – A Vision Empower Journey with CTiS (2021–2025).”
The presentations showcased innovative, tactile, and audio-supported CT activities across Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Coding, and Languages, all designed for learners with visual impairments. Educators from 11 states came together to share their experiences, strategies, and classroom impact.
The work of Vision Empower and its teacher network was met with heartfelt appreciation and support from conference participants. It was a moment of celebration for inclusive education and a reaffirmation of our mission to ensure that no child is left behind in the computational age.
