KWAB School at ARC

19th August 2025

Vision Empower hosted 6 students and their teacher from The Karnataka Welfare Association for the Blind (KWAB), Bengaluru at the Accessible Resource Centre (ARC). The day was designed to spark creativity, exploration, and hands-on learning.

Students explored the human heart model to understand how the heart works, played interactive games like tic-tac-toe, and built imaginative objects using magnet tiles. They also enjoyed an outdoor activity identifying different types of trees on the campus, while practicing the sighted guide technique to enhance mobility skills.

A tactile creation session allowed the students to experiment with accessible learning tools, followed by engaging discussions that deepened their curiosity.

The day concluded with joy and gratitude, as Vision Empower appreciated the participation of the students and teachers from KWAB in making this experience truly memorable.

Sneha Deepa Residential School for the Blind

23rd August 2025

On Saturday, 23rd August, our ARC on Wheels rolled into Sneha Deepa Residential School for the Blind, Ranebennur, bringing along science in a fun, hands-on way.

The children dived into exciting activities on the respiratory system, teeth, heart function, air occupies space, inclined planes, and even experimented with a simple pendulum.

With adaptive and accessible materials, the little ones explored, touched, and discovered, their curiosity making the classroom come alive.

Students from multiple grades joined the ride of learning, turning Saturday into a day full of experiments, laughter, and “aha!” moments.

KWAB School at ARC

25th August 2025

VE conducted an Anubhav session at ARC, IIT-B, for the KWAB students, focusing on tactile art for students across multiple grades.

Using clay and tactile materials, the students explored the human body as a foundation for self-expression.

Through touch, texture, and imagination, they shaped figures that reflected both anatomical understanding and artistic interpretation.

The session marked the beginning of their journey into tactile literacy and creative confidence, reinforcing the belief that every child deserves the joy of creating, interpreting, and owning art.

Students of KWAB School are engaged in a tactile art-based Anubhav session at ARC, IIT-B. Guided by VE facilitators, the children explore clay and other tactile materials to understand the human body through touch, texture, and creative expression.

Rangarao Memorial School for Disabled, Mysuru
