Vision Empower conducted a one-day VICT workshop at NIEPVD, Dehradun, for D.Ed. (Special Education – Visual Impairment) students on 18th November, 2025, engaging 40 first-semester students and 6 faculty members.
The workshop introduced participants to Hexis and Iris, enabling them to understand how AT tools enhance learning for visually impaired students.
This was followed by hands-on Computational Thinking activities, including Race to 27, Sudoku, Bingo, and tactile ice-breakers designed to demonstrate how math concepts can be made interactive and enjoyable.
The enthusiasm and willingness of students and faculty to adopt inclusive practices made the workshop impactful, reinforcing the importance of accessibility-driven pedagogy in teacher training.
