Accessible Science Lab at the Louise Braille School for the Blind, Bhubaneswar, Odisha

On 24th January 2025, the Accessible Science Lab at the Louise Braille School for the Blind, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, was inaugurated by Vision Empower and the SBI Foundation. The event was attended by Mr. Shashi Bhushan, Vice President of SBI Foundation, and Ms. Geetanjali Lima, Assistant Program Manager of SBI Foundation, who officially inaugurated the lab.

Following the inauguration, the students performed a beautiful welcome song. Eight students from grades 6-10 then demonstrated science experiments using the new materials in the lab, explaining how these resources would aid their learning.
The teachers expressed heartfelt gratitude for the accessible materials and the positive impact they will have on students’ education. Ms. Vidhya Y shared her personal experience, hoping the students would become role models for others. Mr. Shashi Bhushan praised the efforts of Vision Empower and the teachers, assuring continued support from SBI Foundation for a bright future ahead.
