Accessible STEM Education in Schools – Lessons from the Grassroots at IIT Madras

The Accessibility Research Centre, IIT Madras, in collaboration with the Teaching Learning Centre, IIT Madras, organized a five-day Faculty Development Programme titled “Accessible STEM Education in Schools – Lessons from the Grassroots” from 30th June 2025 to 4th July 2025.

Vidhya, our co-founder, was one of the panelists in the panel discussion titled “How to Do Things with Inclusive STEM Education?“. The discussion was moderated by Professor Amit Prakash, Professor at IIITB, Convenor of the Centre for Accessibility in the Global South (CAGS), and co-founder of Vision Empower.

On Day 3 of the workshop, the team from Vision Empower conducted a session on inclusive education practices for teaching STEM in inclusive classrooms. This was followed by an experiential activity where participants practiced the inclusive strategies learned.
