Vision Empower brought experiential STEM learning directly to students through an ARC on Wheels session at Asha Kirana School for the Blind, Sidlaghatta. The initiative transformed the school campus into an interactive STEM space, enabling learners to explore concepts through touch, experimentation, and guided discovery.
Senior students engaged with the Real Number System using a tactile kit, explored how water maintains its level through a hands-on experiment, and examined valves and taps to understand everyday science through physical exploration.
Younger students experienced foundational math concepts by identifying shapes, understanding circles through tactile activities, and participating in joyful Computational Thinking games such as Tic Tac Toe, Jojo block-building, pebble counting, and “Race to 20” using Junior Braille LDA cards.
The session created a vibrant, inclusive atmosphere where STEM concepts became accessible and enjoyable, reinforcing the power of tactile learning for visually impaired students.
