Celebrating Inclusion and Innovation at the Purple Fair, Raichur

On September 18–19, 2025, Vision Empower proudly participated in the Purple Fair held at the Raichur Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS)—a vibrant celebration of disability inclusion and innovation.

The event was organised by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, and coordinated by the Composite Regional Centre (CRC), Davanagere , under NIEPVD Secunderabad, in collaboration with the Department of Psychiatry, RIMS.

With 14 stalls and over 150–200 visitors, the fair brought together students, doctors, and officials—including Chief Guest MP Shri G. Kumar NaikRaichur Disability Welfare Officer Smt. Sridevi NidagundiBIERT Education Officer Shri Venkoba Rao, members of the public, and physiotherapy students from Navodaya Medical College.

Vision Empower was invited to showcase its work in accessible education, and our stall drew attention for its tactile and inclusive STEM learning materials designed for children with visual impairment. Visitors engaged enthusiastically with the displays, expressing deep appreciation for our mission to make science and mathematics accessible to every child.

The event was more than an exhibition—it was a reminder of how collaboration, awareness, and innovation can together build a truly inclusive learning environment for all.​
