Make a difference.

Touch the lives of children with visual impairments.

Help them learn, work, and live with dignity

Did you know that India is home to one-third of the world’s blind population ?
....and did you also know that children with blindness in India are not allowed to study Science and Mathematics in high school ?

So, let’s not even talk about STEM subjects for students with visual impairment in college and university education.

Children with visual impairment are mostly sent to residential schools – largely charitable homes - by their parents who have no idea how to deal with their challenges.

These children do not read Braille script at a grade appropriate level in any language and do not have access to story books.

And yes, we are in 2023! Should we still wait and watch or do something about it?

The barriers that a visually impaired girl faces on her road to Science and Math Education
In just 5 years,
Team VE has been able touch lives of more than 1000 teachers and 2000 students with help from more than 500 volunteers across India.

And, if you are wondering whether children with blindness are capable of STEM studies, read more about VE founder, Vidhya Y and her spectacular achievements.
