The program commenced with an introduction to Vision Empower’s mission and teaching approach. Teachers were familiarised with Hexis, VE’s refreshable electronic Braille reader, and Subodha app, VE’s learning management system that provides access to teaching-learning material in various regional languages. The day also featured an engaging session on VE’s VICT(Computational Thinking for Visually Impaired) as part of which the teachers played games such as Pallanguzhi, Playing cards and Connect 4, to name a few, illustrating their impact on instilling computational thinking skills through play.

The second day delved into practical applications of maths and science. Concepts such as plant life, matter, foundational principles of geometry, and algebra were explored. Notably, Vision Empower addressed the accessibility challenges in teaching geometry to students with visual impairment by introducing tactile geometry kits distributed to supported special schools.

On the final day, teachers were given hands-on training on using the Subodha learning management system (LMS). A group discussion ensued, where teachers extracted material from the Subodha learning management system (LMS) and shared insights with the entire group. The training culminated with the distribution of certificates, recognising the commitment and participation of all teachers.
