National Mathematics Day Celebrations

December 22, 2025

National Mathematics Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and inclusivity across VE initiatives on 22nd December. At Victoria Memorial School for the Blind Mumbai, nearly 70 students from all grades along with learners from the Victoria Learning Centre engaged in puzzles, number magic and hands on activities that made mathematics meaningful and enjoyable. Concepts like 2D and 3D shapes and angles were explored through touch using IRIS, while the morning assembly featured student speeches on Srinivasa Ramanujan and Aryabhatta, delivered confidently using HEXIS. Extending the celebration, students in West Bengal worked on a set of mathematics questions, online in HEXIS across various topics and solved them within a given time using Taylor frames, reinforcing practical problem solving. Together, these activities reflected VE’s commitment to accessible learning and the principles of Universal Design for Learning.
