Vision Empower conducted a two-day Pragya Teacher Training program for pre-service teachers (B.Ed. students) of NKT National College of Education for Women, Triplicane, Chennai, on October 16–17, 2025. This marked Vision Empower’s first Pragya training at NKT College, expanding its reach to equip future educators with inclusive teaching methodologies in STEM.
The sessions focused on building awareness and understanding of visual disability, while empowering participants with practical strategies to teach STEM subjects inclusively. Through engaging Math and Science activities, trainees experienced how experiential learning can make abstract concepts more accessible and meaningful for students with visual impairments.
Participants were also introduced to assistive devices such as Hexis and Iris, which enhance tactile and interactive learning, and explored Subodha LMS, Vision Empower’s digital learning platform. Logins were created for all participants to access inclusive education resources and continue self-paced learning.
Over 120 first-year B.Ed. students attended the sessions, actively engaging in discussions, games, and hands-on demonstrations. The training inspired them to integrate computational thinking, play-based methods, and inclusive practices into mainstream education—laying the foundation for a more equitable learning environment.
