State Level Braille Competition- 214th Louis Braille Day

Vision Empower in collaboration with The Karnataka Welfare Association for the Blind (KWAB) is organising a braille reading and writing and pick and speak competition for students with visual impairment on 28th January 2023 at National Association for the Blind, Bengaluru.

This is a State Level competition, for students with visual impairment across Karnataka, conducted to commemorate the 214th Birth Anniversary of Louis Braille, the inventor of the embossed system of reading and writing for the visually impaired.

The competitions are also being conducted to popularise the braille system as a means of reading and writing for the visually impaired world over which opens doors of education, rehabilitation, and socialization for the visually impaired persons.
