Vision Empower proudly participated in the State Level Children’s Festival – SURAVI 2025, held on 12th, 13th, and 14th November in Odisha. Organised by the School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) under the Government of Odisha, the festival celebrated creativity, talent, and diverse learning experiences for children across the state.
In collaboration with Sightsavers, VE set up an interactive stall showcasing tactile STEM learning materials and Assistive Technology devices designed for learners with visual impairments. The team also conducted blindfold activities for sighted children, giving them a meaningful opportunity to understand how visually impaired learners navigate concepts through touch, spatial awareness, and sensory exploration.
The stall received visits from distinguished guests, including the Honourable Chief Minister of Odisha, Education Minister, MLA, Chief Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Education Department, the Director of OSEPA, and several senior officials. Teachers, parents, and students from various schools enthusiastically explored VE’s resources and expressed strong interest in inclusive education approaches.
Children were particularly fascinated by Braille, Hexis, and the Iris device, sparking conversations around accessibility and assistive tools.
VE’s participation in SURAVI 2025 reaffirmed its commitment to promoting inclusive and barrier-free education across Odisha and helped build meaningful connections with educators, government bodies, and the community at large.
