VE Launches its First Short Course for Student Teachers

Vision Empower (VE), in partnership with the National Institute for Education of People with Visual Disabilities (NIEPVD), is delighted to announce the launch of an enriching course designed to strengthen computational thinking and digital literacy skills for student teachers. The course will commence on 3rd June 2023.
This 16-week course offered as an add-on program during the 1st Semester of the B.Ed program, aims to equip student teachers with essential insights and learning from VE’s field-level interventions and extensive research in the domain.
Course Objectives:
- Introduce student teachers to a range of accessible digital tools for their professional development.
- Provide an orientation to accessible teaching learning resources and practices.
- Familiarize student teachers with a play-based approach to teaching computational thinking using the principles of Ludic Design for Accessibility (LDA).
- Introduce student teachers to continuous professional development processes.
