Vision 30 2025

December 14, 2025

Vision Empower hosted Vision 30, a three day immersive learning experience for bright young learners with visual impairment from all across India, along with their educators, caregivers, supported by corporate funders of VE. Students introspected on and explored their identities, diversity in the environment and the role of technology in inclusive education.

Day 1 : Me and My World

Prof Sridhar from IIIT Bangalore and Prof Rahul De from IIM Bangalore opened the event with thought provoking sessions on the burning technology questions of the world today – telecommunication and human interactions with technology. Learners were introduced through fun interactions to how AI solutions depend on human intelligence, ethical decision making and accurate labelling to serve real world needs especially in areas such as healthcare and accessibility. An inspirational panel of visually impaired professionals then shared their educational and workplace journeys reinforcing the importance of strong foundations, inclusive ecosystems and inner confidence. Dr Surender Dhalwal’s session on socio emotional wellbeing and interdisciplinary learning highlighted the need to nurture confidence, self awareness and curiosity in every learner.

Day 2 : Me and My Environment

Learners immersed in an engrossing multisensory exploration of music, culture and history at the Indian Music Experience museum followed by hands on sessions in Sciences, Math and EVS. Using tactile resources, refreshable braille and assistive technologies learners demonstrated concepts, collaborated with peers and connected academic learning to real world environmental concerns. The parents teachers conclave enabled meaningful dialogue on braille multimodal learning and preparing learners for future pathways rooted in dignity and opportunity.

Day 3 : Me and Technology

The final day focused on computational thinking, programming with GenAI cyber safety and responsible use of assistive technologies. Learners were encouraged to use problem solving skills to question, verify and analyse information and learnt how technology can support their aspirations. The valedictory session with talks by Dr. Manohar Swaminathan from Microsoft and Prof Balaji Parthasarathy from IIITB reinforced joy, curiosity creativity and the right of every child to follow their dreams.

Vision 30 reaffirmed that inclusive education supported by meaningful technology and shared learning can empower students to be future ready.

We express our sincere gratitude to our academic and funding partners for supporting the initiative and enabling impactful learning experiences for children with visual impairment and their teachers.
