On 21st August 2025, Vision Empower, in collaboration with Vembi Technologies and the A4I team, organized an insightful webinar for the members of Apang Mahila Vikas Sanstha, Nagpur. The session was specially curated to support facilitators from two inclusive schools in the city—Blind Relief Association Andh Vidyalaya and Gyan Jyoti Vidyalaya—with the goal of enhancing their understanding of emerging assistive technologies.
At the heart of the session was Hexis, an innovative E-Refreshable Braille device developed by Vembi Technologies for students with visual impairment. The device works in seamless integration with Antara, a cloud-based software that converts text from English and Indian languages into Braille. Together, these technologies are helping make learning resources more accessible, bridging critical gaps in inclusive education.
A total of 14 dedicated teachers and facilitators participated actively in the webinar. Through demonstrations and interactive discussions, they gained valuable exposure to the functions, features, and classroom applications of Hexis. The session also emphasized practical approaches for integrating such assistive devices into everyday teaching practices, thereby enabling more effective and engaging learning experiences for children with visual impairments.
The participants shared positive feedback, highlighting the importance of access to such cutting-edge tools and the potential they hold in transforming classroom teaching. Initiatives like this not only empower educators but also ensure that students are equipped with the resources they need to learn and thrive without barriers.
