Nine Years of Vision Empower: Growing Together for Accessible STEM Education

Vision Empower was founded in 2017 with a mission to make STEM education accessible to students with visual impairments. As Vision Empower celebrates its 9th Foundation Day, our team members share what keeps them connected to the organisation – their learnings, moments of pride, and the shared purpose that drives our work.

Over the past nine years, Vision Empower has moved forward steadily and with deep commitment towards making STEM education accessible for learners with visual impairments. From accessible learning resources and teacher training to hands-on STEM experiences, assistive technologies and accessible spaces, each step has been shaped by the belief that every learner should have the opportunity to explore and participate in STEM.

In this Foundation Day video, team members reflect on their experiences, learnings, moments of pride and the shared purpose that continues to bring them together.

This milestone belongs to the community that makes every step possible—our well-wishers, donors, volunteers, team, and above all, the learners and teachers at the heart of our purpose.

Here’s to nine years of learning, growing and finding purpose together—and to many more years of making STEM education more accessible and inclusive.
